System Security Engineering

Acquisition Support

Rhombus5 is dedicated to the successful execution of its client’s programs. The team at Rhombus5 is experienced in managing, as well as supporting, ACAT I/II/III programs across the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intel Community. Our Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) have managed OSD, Headquarters Air Force (HAF), and Center-level acquisition efforts for major operational and information technology-centric programs. From developing acquisition strategy to tailoring milestone requirements and documentation, Rhombus5 can oversee all programmatic efforts both home and overseas.

Test and Evaluation

The experts at Rhomus5 can serve as the liaison between the Leadership, Engineering, and the Test Team to proactively champion and negotiate for all stakeholders. Rhombus5 is experienced in authoring Test and Evaluation Master Plans, Cybersecurity Strategies, and Security Assessment Reports. Rhombus5 can support your testing requirements across the Developmental Test and Operation Test communities with more than 30 years of experience in both integration lab and end-user settings.

Vulnerability Assessment Service

Often referred to as a “Blue Team” event, Rhombus5 has the real-world and hands-on expertise to assess your unique environment. Rhombus5 can evaluate those host-based, wireless, and application products allowing you to have a comprehensive understanding of the threat landscape. Rhombus5’s goal is to work hand-in-hand with the stakeholder team to develop and recommend an actionable mitigation strategy resulting in an acceptable organizational risk level.

Penetration Testing Services

“Think like an attacker” is the name of the game. In 2020, according to IBM, the average cost of an information security breach was U$3.86 million (US), and the average time to identify a breach was more than 200 days. Rhombus5 can support your defense-in-depth strategy through proactive testing of your organization’s environment and defense solutions. Rhombus5 are experts in conducting both real world testing, as well as less intrusive table-top exercises, encouraging stakeholders to think like the adversary helping to identify and remediate all identified technical and non-technical weaknesses and processes.


Certifications & Security Clearances

It's no secret that cyber threats are evolving, becoming more sophisticated, and having greater impacts on individuals, businesses, and the government enterprises. Large businesses globally lose millions to cybercrimes each year and companies in every vertical are taking cybersecurity seriously. According to The U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics, projects that employ information security analysts will grow at 32 percent between 2018 and 2028, which is higher than the average for all other occupations. This rapid increase in demand for employees with highly specialized knowledge and hands-on skills for identifying and responding to cyber threats. The team at Rhombus5 is comprised of industry professionals that hold advanced degrees from ABET accredited institutions. Additionally, the Rhombus5 team holds multiple workforce certifications mandated by the Federal, State and Local governments to satisfy requirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570.01.

The Rhombus5 team is currently cleared or eligible to be cleared for contracts requiring classified efforts to include those compartments to support executive level customers and Special Access needs.
